Curves

Platform boots with a very rounded shape.

I like curves. But not so much in girls, but much more in shoes. Shoes have to be nicely rounded at the toes. The Buffalo T-24400 platform boots are of course the perfect example of this. I think this aspect in particular makes this model so attractive, as the boots don’t really have much else to offer apart from the really chunky heel.

Another example are the CONCORD-108 or BEAR-265 platform boots from Demonia. These are also characterized by strongly rounded toes. In general, gothic boots often seem to be very curvy.

For me, a shoe loses about 50% of its attractiveness if the front of the shoe is not strongly rounded. It just looks nicer. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that the foot then appears smaller or it simply looks cuter. The whole thing looks twice as good if you wear long trousers that only leave a few centimetres of the toe of the shoe exposed. For me, this is the perfect combination and the crowning glory of the outfit. You actually saw this more often in the early 2000s. Fortunately, this trend seems to be coming back, because I’ve seen more combinations like this again recently, but unfortunately mostly with relatively boring shoes.
